The U.S. Government has functioned as a terrorist organization for decades, most-especially since the post-WW2 era. Bush Sr., Reagan, Clinton, Bush Jr., Obama, and Trump have all mercilessly allowed this terror to escalate through neoliberal and neoconservative policies, each President’s foreign policy being worse than the previous. These President’s hid behind their charm (Democrats were much better at it), but make no mistake: they are all war criminals of the highest order.
Bush Jr. dropped over 70,000 bombs on five unprovoked countries. Obama dropped over 100,000 bombs on seven unprovoked countries. Trump has dropped 44,000 bombs in his first year in office in an unknown number of countries. And how does our corporate media typically react to this pattern of behavior?
With near-universal applause:
The ongoing Operation: Mockingbird is how the CIA manages to increasingly silence the media, keeping us in the dark as they go about setting the world on fire in countries where democracies were being born. Why? Because it’s easier to control a dictator. Instead of conquering an entire people, the Deep State could simply take out a single leader and install an obedient replacement. The American Gestapo props up dictators across the globe for this very reason and has done so for decades.
Americans have been fed propaganda in our schools to inspire patriotism (a great example is when we were taught that the dropping of two atomic bombs on Japanese civilian cities was necessary to end WW2 and saved more lives, when the truth is that Japan had already offered terms of surrender and the Soviet Union had ground troops moving in to force an end to their aggression either way). Such truths have been increasingly buried by the corporate media. But now, in the age of the internet, we have no excuse for continued ignorance. We all must take the time to research and discover the truth for ourselves. And then act boldly and decisively.
The more you dive into what our Government has done the more the Holocaust looks like a warm-up exercise. Our “leaders” have killed many, many more millions of people via indisputable war crimes that the international community refuses to address out of fear that they will be the next ones targeted. These war crimes include:
Firing missiles laced with depleted uranium.
Selling cluster-bombs to Saudi Arabia.
Forcibly removing, assassinating, or attempting to assassinate leaders
of sovereign nations. It’s estimated that over 50 world leaders were
“changed” due to U.S. involvement. Here are just a few of them:
Enabling siege warfare in Yemen. (Note that the weapons being used
by Saudi Arabia were sold by the United States. U.S. intelligence has
continued to assist and black-ops are on the ground).
Dropping atomic bombs on civilian cities. (Japan had essentially
surrendered and all the Japanese men were automatically drafted into
WW2, so the civilians killed were almost entirely women and children).
Indiscriminate carpet-bombing during the Korean War with more bombs
than we used in the entirety of WW2, killing 30% of the North Korean population.
Committing numerous acts of torture at the Abu-Ghraib prison facility.
Meanwhile, American citizens are distracted by the trivial. We complain that our iPhone batteries are defective instead of protesting that our phones are made from child labor in China. We complain about having a housing crisis instead of rioting over the fact that there are actually six empty houses for every one homeless person. We complain that we deserve a $15 minimum wage when actually, factoring in productivity and inflation, it should be over $25. We complain about ISIS which has killed only 4 American citizens instead of our own police who kill 2-3 citizens every damn day. We complain about unproven Russian interference in U.S. elections instead of the proven rigging of the 2016 Democratic primary. We complain about North Korea having a handful of nukes instead of our own Government possessing enough nukes to destroy the entire planet 12-14 times over and being the ONLY country to ever use any. We complain about immigrants stealing American jobs instead of the U.S. corporations who export our jobs overseas in the interest of profit.
And I didn’t even touch on Vietnam.
So until we RECOGNIZE, ACKNOWLEDGE, and PRIORITIZE the real problems that are truly in need of fixing, the nation will continue to splinter. And the consequences of our continued inaction/complicity will be earned tenfold.
The American people are running out of time for redemption, so preach the truth as though your life depends on it. Because it does.
